Maintaining Drain Lines
TIP OF THE DAY
Below is another friendly tip on how YOU can help you!
Our technician Steve is back to walk us through how to properly maintain drain lines.
As Steve shows us, it’s as simple as 1,2,3!!!
1) Turn power to your unit off - you don’t want the bleach getting blown back up at you as you work
2) Locate the T or riser that gives access to the drain lines (often closed off by a cap or tape)
3) Pour 1-2 cups of bleach and replace the cap/tape
That’s it!!!
Once you turn the power back on, the bleach will start getting to work breaking up any gunk that’s started to accumulate in your lines. This simple task can potentially save you thousands in costly repairs!!!
If you feel uncomfortable or have any doubt when performing this act of maintenance, McGarrett A/C is ALWAYS here to help! Give us a call with any questions or concerns.
